Description & ecology
Hydroponic foliar maxima in old leaves: Zn 16,600 µg g⁻¹ DW and Cd 1,250 µg g⁻¹ DW (Tang et al. 2022, Plant Soil 479:589–606, doi:10.1007/s11104-022-05547-6).
Field-grown plants at the Dugald River gossan reached ~16,200 µg g⁻¹ Zn and ~170 µg g⁻¹ Cd (Tang et al. 2021, cited in Tang et al. 2022); the Cd hydroponic maximum is strongly dose-elevated and should be treated with caution.
A polymetallic Zn-Cd-Cu hyperaccumulating legume; Cu is not listed because the comparable foliar Cu maximum comes from the field survey of Tang et al. 2021 rather than this hydroponic study.
