Description & ecology
Herbarium-XRF screening (corrected to predicted ICP values) of 22 specimens gave a foliar Ni maximum of 11,740 µg g⁻¹, with 14 of 22 specimens above the 1,000 µg g⁻¹ threshold (Table 1; Disinger et al. 2024, Ecological Research 39:838–851, doi:10.1111/1440-1703.12495).
No living plants were observed in the fieldwork, so the value rests on herbarium specimens only; growth form (tree) corroborated by external floras.
