Single available herbarium specimen measured 5,390 µg g⁻¹ Ni by XRF (Navarrete Gutiérrez et al. 2024, Ecol. Res. 39:879–893).

Species known only from the department of Izabal and not collected for decades; n=1, so hyperaccumulation type is provisional.
